What’s happening on Choochokam Arts weekend 2012.
FRIDAY, July 5:
• Beginning at 5 p.m. Exhibitor and Food Vendor Move-in. Anthes Avenue between First and Third Streets, as well as First Street between Park Avenue and Wharf Street close at 4 p.m.
• 5-7:30 p.m. Founder’s Tribute Art Show & Sale. Come celebrate the late John Braun, who, along with friends, founded Choochokam in 1975. The show will be held through July 22 at Studio 106 on McLeod Alley, behind Whidbey Island Soap.
Saturday, July 6:
• 10 a.m. Choochokam Arts opens. Music begins on Main Stage.
• 11 a.m. Langley Chamber Beer Garden opens in its new location behind Sweet Mona’s on Second Street. Diamond Knot, out of Mukilteo, is providing beer. Whidbey Island Winery and Spoiled Dog Winery have provided wines.
• 11 a.m. Music begins on the Useless Bay Coffee Pavilion Stage on Second Street.
• 5 p.m. Choochokam artists booths close (voluntarily).
• 6 p.m. The Saturday Night Street Dance opens with Cascadia 10, the remaining members of the Swamp Mama Johnson band that played for many years on the Choochokam Main Stage.
• 8-9:30 p.m. The New Iberians Blues & Zydeco band take the stage with 10 members to rock the Street Dance.
• 10 p.m. The Party Moves to Mo’s with the Western Heroes band playing.
Sunday, July 7
• 7:30-8:30 a.m. Langley Half Marathon events kick off at Saratoga Road and DeBruyn Avenue. Visit their booth for more info.
• 10 a.m. Choochokam Arts opens.
• 11 a.m. Langley Chamber Beer Garden opens.
• 11-11:45 a.m. Marathon Awards on Main Stage.
• 4-5 p.m. Sunday Street Dance closes the show with Slower Loris on Main Stage.
• 5 p.m. Choochokam Arts 2012 closes.
SHUTTLE SERVICE
Our partners Whidbey SeaTac Shuttle will be providing free shuttle service throughout the weekend. The service begins at the Clinton Ferry Dock at 9 a.m. and runs continuously throughout both days between the ferry and the various parking areas throughout Langley. There will be two shuttles running.
• Saturday, July 6: Shuttle service is continuous from 9 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.
• Sunday, July 7: Shuttle service is continuous from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Gettting to Choochokam Arts
Langley is only 7 miles from the Clinton Ferry terminal and 30 miles from Oak Harbor. From the South, take SR525 to Langley Road. Turn right at the light and follow the road into Langley. Follow Langley Loop signs. From the North, take Hwy. 20 to SR525. Turn left at Bayview Road and follow the Langley Loop signs into Langley. A free shuttle runs from the Clinton Ferry Dock continuously during the festival weekend between 9 a.m. and 8:30 p.m. Saturday and 9 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. Sunday. -
